How to Keep Your Silk Flower Arrangement Looking Fresh and Vibrant 5 Tips
When you created or purchased your silk flower arrangements, you were probably motivated by the fact that you could enjoy countless days and months of beautiful colors in your home or office. Silk flower wedding arrangements and bouquets are also growing in popularity for their longevity. Unlike cut flowers, your silk flower arrangement can last a long time. A long time to collect dust on your once pristine treasure.
1. Shaking - to remove dust from artificial silk flowers and sprays simply shake the flowers gently. One of the reasons that we take extra care in hot gluing our arrangements in place is to make them easier to clean and handle. Remember; be extra gentle if your silk flower arrangement is not anchored well.
2. Feather Duster a trusty feather duster can also be a great tool to clean your silk flower arrangement. We have not experienced a major difference whether you use real feathers or synthetic feathers. Again, take your time and be gentle.
3. Blow Dryer get out that trusty hair dryer. Make sure you have the dryer set to low cool before taking aim at your silk flower arrangement. Start from the interior of your arrangement and work your way toward the outside elements of your arrangements.
4. Detergent. Dipping the flowers of your silk flower arrangements into a weak solution of liquid detergent and water or spraying with a commercially available product can aide in the reduced build up of dust.
5. Salt yes, you read correctly salt! If dust is lodged in an artificial flower, simply put the flower in a bag with a little bit of salt. Shake the bag lightly, and the dust should be completely dislodged
